The Douro Valley offers a fantastic and unique landscape from the mouth of the Douro river located in the city of Oporto all the way up to the hills and terraces where the grapes that are the essence of the world famous Port Wine and other renown wines grow and mature. The microclimate and special characteristics of the terrain are key factors for the success of the vineyards. This is the region of the International Douro Natural Park which is shared between Portugal and Spain being the river the natural border between the two countries. Here the landscape is more natural, raw, wild and most definitely more beautiful.
