Not as famous and well known as Picos de Europa, the Somiedo Natural Park (a 2h30m drive from the first) also has a magnificent mountain scenery, beautiful lakes and breathtaking natural beauty.
It actually holds the largest lake in the Asturias region, Lago del Valle, which spreads over 24ha and is 45 meters deep at its most.

The Tessaout valley is also known as "the lost valley", as it was notoriously difficult to access (although not far from Marrakesh). It is one of the Moroccan Atlas most beautiful valleys with its small villages clinging to the mountainside and the lush greenery at the bottom who are a welcome break from the aridity of the mountaintops.

At the edge of the Pyrenees National Park, the Pont d’Espagne (1496m / 4908ft) is a protected corner of the countryside where you can discover the most beautiful waterfalls that can be seen in Hautes-Pyrénées (part of the Central Pyrenees region). Its waterfalls contain all the strength and romanticism of the Pyrenean mountains. This exceptional site is, moreover, one of the most accessible and thus visited in the Pyrenees National Park.

Probably the fact that it is less well known and not as trendy is what makes the asturian essence stronger and more noticeable in Somiedo, making it more genuine and true.

The images were captured during a four days trip (August 2014) in this beautiful place located in Northern Spain, the video took about a year to assemble (very slowly).

No fancy gear or careful planning, just a couple of cameras (Canon G12 and Samsung NX100) and a motorized telescope head (Skywatcher Acuter Merlin) controlled by an early version of the RoMotion software (facebook.com/romotion.diy).

Saut deth Pish is a spectacular 12m (40ft) high waterfall in the valley of Barradòs, in the Val d'Aran, a valley in the Pyrenees mountains in the northwestern part of the province of Lleida, in Catalonia, northern Spain. The fall is located at an elevation of 1,553m (5,095ft) above the sea level and it is accessible by car from the village of Pònt d'Arròs, along an attractive (but dangerous) 12km (7.5mi) asphalted track running parallel to the River Varradòs.
